9/29/09 Kind of hard to see, but there are several piles of debris, wood from cut trees as they thin the forest and other branches and needles piled up like teepee's ( tipi for the American Indian I think) - we believe it's to save the forest in event of fire - the debris is piled into a teepee shape, someone mentioned they wait until winter with snow on the ground to burn the bundles, but we think they might leave them to rot - and if they do catch on fire, there is nothing near them to burn so it protects the nearby trees. Tried to look online for a better explanation, found something about making bundles for animals to live in during the winter. And for decay, it brings insects to the forest. So, your guess is as good as mine!
