10/11/09 In the distance, Baton Rouge on the Mississippi, northwest of New Orleans.
10/11/09 Hard to see, but we're crossing the Mississippi River again - how cool is that! We crossed it once Going into Hannibal, MO and again in Louisiana as it flows out to the Gulf at New Orleans!
10/11/09 As you can see we had rain and clouds on this portion of the trip, but through the raindrops is the one bayou!
10/11/09 Off again, and we're out of Texas - it's a big state to drive through, especially if you are from CT and can be in 9 or so states in 6 hours!! It was something like 20 hours in the RV driving - mountains and high prairie when you leave NM to sea level elevation with green grass, trees and water when you enter Louisiana ~
10/10/09 Our friends, Vernon and Susie in Houston!! We made it -it was great to see them and catch up over a delicious sea food dinner - which we enjoyed after being in the mountains and desert for so long!!
